Sovev is a mikveh in the making, springing up from the needs of our community.

A mikveh is a small pool of clean, clear water used for the ritual immersion of the entire body, marking significant life transitions and spiritual renewal. This ancient Jewish practice, thousands of years old, is being revitalized by the open mikveh movement to make it accessible and meaningful for all Jews.

Sovev will serve as a new center for ritual immersion in South Florida, welcoming Jews of all backgrounds to engage in embodied spirituality. It will be a place for healing, celebration, renewal, and transformation that unites and strengthens the entire Jewish community.

In Hebrew, Sovev (סובב) means “surrounding,” “encircling,” or “encompassing.”
